Description
Protest and civil disobedience are fundamental to democracy and patriotism, allowing citizens to address grievances and challenge power structures. Historical movements in Pakistan, like those against military regimes and authoritarian rulers, highlight the role of protests in achieving justice and democracy. Globally, figures like Mandela and Gandhi exemplify the importance of protest for freedom. While protests can lead to uprisings and social change, suppressing them often exacerbates discontent. Democracies thrive on civic action, criticism, and negotiation, ensuring the resolution of differences. Labeling civil disobedience as anti-national reflects insecurity among those in power.
