Abstract
The main argument of this paper is that developing countries such as Pakistan can either position themselves like the 24 countries mentioned above and maximize benefits from participation in international trade, financial flows, labor migration, technological advances or let the torrents of globalization sweep it away as by-stander or marginal player as is the case of Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East etc.
