Abstract
Polynomial and Rational parametrization are integral part for geometric modelling of curves. In this thesis, an effective method to compute polynomial parametrization of an special class of affine algebraic curve which we call line-like will be studied. Algebraic aspects of singularities of line- like curves using a bi-variate polynomial (see [22]) will also be presented. Some computational ex- ample of polynomial parametrization of such curves and their singularities worked out by MAPLE are also included.
